Lucas Valor | Rugaru | 16 | Sophomore | FC: Harry Styles | OPEN

Like all Rugaru’s, Lucas has a craving for human flesh. It’s his second year at the academy and he has been learning to control his urges more and more. He’s a carefree guy and befriends people quickly. He likes a good party and enjoys making people laugh. You would never guess that  under all that charm is a carnivorous flesh-eater.

Lucas’s parents divorced when he was young, leaving him to take care of his sickly mother and younger sisters. He didn’t think that going to the academy would help anyone and he insisted on staying at home. However, his mother pleaded with him and he finally gave in.     He wasn’t used to the strict rules, but he found the classes interesting. It turned out that he didn’t know basically anything when it came to his kind.

He doesn’t like that the humans won’t accept him as their equal, but he doesn’t hate them either. He understands the fear that they have because they’re different. All he wants is peace.

Sophie Anne | Psychic | 18 | Senior | FC: Karen Gillan | OPEN

Sophie is your stereotypical snob. She comes from a rich and prominent family. Having no special abilities themselves, her parents had no idea what was going on with her. She was able to read and influence thoughts from a very young age. So to hide her from the outside world and to preserve their family name, they sent her away. Adjusting to life roaming the outskirts of England, Sophie learned to depend on no one other than herself.

She stumbled upon the academy at the age of sixteen, discovering how to harness and control her mind. She bonded with other psychics around campus and established herself an entourage. Sophie has a superiority complex because of her family and enforces her “Rank” as often as she possibly can. She dislikes the challenges but still attempts to gain points with the Headmistress by acting a model student. She has more enemies than friends, but that won’t stop her from getting her way and sliding into your business.

Adam Greene | Human | 17 | Junior | FC: Lucas Till | OPEN

Adam had a normal life. He was the fly-half of the school’s rugby team his freshman and sophomore years. He had lots of friends and was blissfully unaware of the other forms of life out in the world. When he was on vacation with his family in England the summer before his junior year, he decided to go for a walk out in the woods. He wasn’t particularly looking for anything, but what he stumbled across caused his entire perspective to change. What he found was Pupille de la Mort Academy.

Intrigued, Adam entered the school and attended as a student, claiming to be a psychic. He was cautious; he knew that he would be punished severely for being there. He didn’t want to leave, though. He was so fascinated by this strange new understanding. Since he was so used to being loved throughout his school in America, it felt odd to him to be outranked. However, it was relatively easy for him to gain a small group of friends and establish himself in the academy. He’s athletic and enjoys being carefree. Like everyone, he gets annoyed, but he controls his temper because he knows that he wouldn’t win any sort of fight.

Demetri Castor | Vampire | 17 | Junior | FC: Hunter Parrish | OPEN

Demetri is utterly confused. Even with his heightened senses as a vampire, he never knows what’s going on around him. It’s not that he’s unintelligent, because he can be very smart in certain topics, he’s just unaware. He spaces out a lot; in class, during meals, occasionally even during conversations. It irritates most of the other students, but his close friends shrug his odd behavior off. Nobody is really sure of where it originated. There weren’t any tragic events in his home while growing up. It’s just the way he is.

Demetri was bitten by a vampire when he was only ten years old. Never having to deal with this sort of thing before,—being as they were both mortals—his parents couldn’t quite understand what they were supposed to do, but they tried their best to make sure he was never treated any differently. When he was fourteen, he left to find the academy. He didn’t want to be a burden for his parents any longer. They begged for him to stay, saying things like, “We’ll work it out,” “We’ll get through this,” and “We won’t let this define us.” As if it was about them! Despite being frustrated and wishing to drop all contact, he still keeps in touch with them. He writes them letters and updates them on his life, mostly leaving out events that could provoke questioning, or telling white lies to keep from seeming suspiciously boring. Overall, he loves being at the academy and wishes to call no other place home—As if he could.

Keira Sashka | Siren | 18 | Senior | FC: Amber Heard | OPEN

Originally from Russia, Keira had a simple life. She lived with her grandfather, and he gave her all she could ever need—all her parents could never provide. She could leave whenever she wanted, go wherever she pleased, and come back to the house at whatever time best fit her personal preference. Her grandfather never questioned her, either. He understood that it was better if he didn’t know what she was doing. She had it all, and wouldn’t change a thing.

Except, maybe, the part where she fancied seducing and killing all of her boyfriends for pleasure. It started with her first “Real” relationship at twelve years old, and quickly progressed from there. Keira was careful, of course, and only selected the worse-off kids who had nothing going for them. They weren’t missed, and the parents never asked where their delinquent sons had run off to. It was a flawless system. Until her grandfather discovered her journal of names, addresses, and even a schedule. He was old; Understanding was past being one of his main concerns. She did not want to attempt explanation, either. She left in the middle of her junior year—her bags practically packed themselves. Then, she was off to find the academy.

Persephone Lynn|Witch|16|Sophomore|FC: Taylor Momsen(GG Era)|OPEN

Persephone grew up in the political world. With her father being a politician, he was too busy to notice that his wife and daughter weren’t human. Of course, she was fine with that because then there were less factors getting between them. It wasn’t a concern of hers, ever. She wouldn’t have to deal with explanations and excuses, or hiding what she was. He never discovered it, and he never will. This wasn’t as simple as it could be if there were more people around, though. She lived in a small town with a population of precisely 10,521. With absolutely nothing for her there, she left to the academy to not only further her education, but to add something new to her life.

Persephone is outgoing. She loves doing her best and earning her own way in life, since her father demonstrated it when she was young. Although it is as if there is a wall between them, she still wants to follow in his footsteps—Not in terms of politics, but overall success. She tries hard with everything she attempts, and when she fails, it crushes her deeply. She becomes depressed and doesn’t have energy for days. Her roommate doesn’t even see her. Though, when she finally gets herself together, she’s revitalized and working as hard as ever. She’s always striving for success and perfection.

Claus Ladon| Lycan | 18 | Senior | FC: Alex Pettyfer | OPEN

Claus Ladon is your typical douchebag. Growing up, he was always with his father. His mother left when he was young, and honestly, he was glad to see her go. She was never around much, and their relationship was strained from the moment he was born. According to her, Claus was the reason that her marriage was failing. He prevented her from traveling the world. He made her drop out of high school, and become too lazy to get a GED. The poor boy wasn’t even two years old. Naturally, this caused him to cling to his father more. They were basically inseparable. However, without a mother, he was never taught how to be compassionate, or really how to care about anyone else at all. It was always just him and his father, pretending to be ‘Toughest’ around until everyone around them believed it.

Claus doesn’t respect women. The only one who was supposed to stick with him through anything left before he was old enough to understand. There were no goodbyes. No apologies. So, with every girlfriend, he’d be with them for about two weeks and dump them when he got bored. No real goodbyes; no apologies. The way he saw it, he shouldn’t need to worry about people who were so… Temporary. He could do things nobody else could even fathom. His father was the only one who understood, though he had heard stories of his mother’s “Adventures.” However, the only person who really mattered was himself. Eventually, his father started to fade from the picture, too. So, in an effort to improve himself and learn more about his abilities, he left for the academy.

pupille-de-la-mort-academy:

Iris Lowe | Fairy | 16 | Junior | FC: Michelle Trachtenburg | OPEN

Iris is the most spiteful girl at the academy. If she doesn’t like you, she will make your life a living hell. She’s fake and feels superior to everyone. The only “friends” she has are people just like her. Revenge is right up her alley; she’ll help you get it for the right price. She doesn’t tolerate stupidity and she’ll do anything to get what she wants.

Iris was “Daddy’s little girl” when she was still living with her parents. She fought with her mom constantly and lied her way into her father’s heart. To him she was innocent and naive, but as soon as she was out of his sight, she returned to being Satan’s Prodigy. She feels like she deserves the universe and becomes frustrated when she doesn’t receive it. Some students go out of their way to avoid her, but others aren’t afraid to break her face. They’re simply waiting for her to pick a fight with them.

pupille-de-la-mort-academy:

Adrian Myles | Rugaru | 17 | Junior | FC: Nicholas Hoult | OPEN

No matter what, Adrian is always stoned. He doesn’t know how to be anything else. There is no other way to cope with what he is. Though, nobody could begin to understand. If he isn’t high, he isn’t happy. The drawers in his room are filled with a range of narcotics, from minor weed to LSD. The Headmistress has warned him numerous times about his addictions, but he doesn’t care. It’s not like he’s human—he won’t die of an overdose, but he wouldn’t mind that, either. No one really knows where he gets his supply from, and they don’t really care. He’s the go-to guy on campus when you need your fix. Still, somehow, he always has enough to get himself through the day.

Adrian is really chill and unless you touch his stash, that’s how he’ll always be. It’s not a problem to share, as long as you have the cash, but if you mess with something you’re not supposed to, he’ll flip. He doesn’t care about school or how the humans see him; it is as if the only thing of importance is his supply. From time to time someone has to force him to eat and shower and just take care of himself, which is worrisome for his friends. Although, someone has to do it. His parents were extremely strict when he lived with them, causing him to act out and do everything they told him not to. That’s how his addition started. His parents disowned him when they found out, sending him stumbling toward the academy.

Simon Blake | Human | 18 | Senior | FC: Jay McGuiness | OPEN

Simon is an amazing actor. How else do you think it was so easy for him to sneak into such a high-security school? All he had to do was tell the administrators that he was a Wendigo. He had heard stories from his father before, so he had a basic understanding of the behavior and mannerisms, but up until now they were all just folk tales. It’s not like the administrators were going to make him prove it, anyway. He is extremely talented and deceptive; Making anyone believe anything is the simplest task. It’s not an issue, but it is definitely a habit—a skill, if you would. He has loads of friends who think they’re the only ones that Simon can’t trick, but they’re very wrong. None of them have any idea what he truly is. However, like everything, it will all come out in the end.

Simon suffers from chronic depression, also known as Dysthymia. It eats away at his mind and it is rare that he ever feels good about himself.  Of course, since he is such a great actor, he is able to hide this from everyone else. The only time he lets his distress show through is when he’s alone. He cannot have the others notice his weakness, his pain—at least, not if he wanted to continue to claim to be a Wendigo. Although, sometimes he wishes that someone, anyone would notice the pain that he’s in. It’s a natural ache, or that’s what he tells himself, but he truly feels like it would be his downfall. Every time he fakes a smile or a laugh, he’s silently pleading for help, but no one notices—as they shouldn’t—and he’s left alone.
